The Kargil War Memorial located in Dras was built by the Indian Army in memory of the soldiers and officers martyred in the 1999 Kargil War. It is also known as Vijaypath. The names of the soldiers who were martyred for the country are inscribed on this memorial made of pink sandstone. There is also Manoj Pandey Gallery here, in which photographs, weapons and artillery related items during the war are displayed. Every year on 26th July the main function of Kargil Vijay Diwas is organized here.
