For Bangladesh, Tanjid Hasan Tamim played the highest innings of 67 runs while Nazmul Hussain Shanto was out after scoring 27 runs. Opener Saif Hasan returned to the pavilion after scoring four runs, while Liton Das returned unbeaten after scoring three runs. For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi and Wasim Junior took one wicket each.

After losing the toss and opting to bat first in Mirpur ODI, the entire Pakistan team was all out for 114 runs in 30.4 overs. Pakistan had a good start, where Sahibzada Farhan (27) and Maaz Sadakat (18) added 41 runs for the first wicket. But as soon as Nahid Rana arrived, the tables turned. Rana dismissed the top five batsmen Farhan, Maaz, Shamil Hussain, Mohammad Rizwan (10) and Salman Agha and reduced Pakistan's score to 58/5.
In the middle order, Hussain Talat (4) and Abdul Samad (0) also got caught in the spin of captain Mehdi Hasan Miraj. In the end, Faheem Ashraf played a fighting inning of 37 runs in 47 balls and took the team beyond 100. Captain Shaheen Afridi also scored 4 runs
