IRCTC Dakshin Bharat Yatra: If you are planning to visit major religious places of South India, then IRCTC’s new ‘South India Travel’ package can be a great opportunity for you. This journey operated through Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train will run from 31 July 2026 to 11 August 2026. In this journey of total 11 nights and 12 days, the devotees will be given darshan of Tirupati Balaji, Rameshwaram, Madurai, Kanyakumari and Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga located in Srisailam. The starting price of this package has been kept at Rs 23,560 per person.
Where will the train run from?
This special train will leave from Gorakhpur. On the way, passengers will be able to board the train from stations like Mankapur, Ayodhya Cantt, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj Sangam, Rae Bareli, Lucknow, Kanpur Central, Orai, Veerangana Laxmibai (Jhansi) and Lalitpur. During the journey, the train will reach Renigunta at the first stop, from where the passengers will be taken to Tirupati by road. There will be arrangements to stay here for two nights. During this time devotees will be able to visit Tirupati Balaji temple. However, travelers will have to make their own arrangements for Tirumala darshan. Apart from this, darshan of Shri Kalahasti Temple and Padmavati Temple will also be offered.

Visit to Ramanathaswamy Temple
After this the journey will reach Rameshwaram. Here, darshan of the famous Ramanathaswami temple will be offered and there will also be accommodation arrangements for the passengers. If for some reason the train is unable to reach Rameshwaram station, passengers will be transported by road from Kudalnagar or Manamadurai station. After this, we will be taken to the famous Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai.
Major local sites will be visited
Devotees will reach Kanyakumari in the next phase of the journey. Here we will be given a tour of major local places including Vivekananda Rock Memorial. After this the train will reach Markapur Road, from where you will be taken to Srisailam by bus to have darshan of Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga. After darshan the return journey will start and the train will reach back to Gorakhpur on 11th August.

How much will it cost?
The starting price of this package has been kept at Rs 23,560 per person, which is for sleeper economy category. Whereas the fare of 3AC standard class is Rs 39,100 and the fare of 2AC comfort class is Rs 51,760 per person. Separate fare has been fixed for children. If a passenger makes a single booking, he will have to share the room with another passenger on double or triple sharing basis. This package includes travel by Bharat Gaurav train, hotel accommodation as per category, wash and change, morning tea, breakfast, vegetarian lunch and dinner, local transport, travel insurance, tour escort and services of IRCTC tour manager throughout the journey. All applicable taxes are also part of the package.
