IPL 2026: In IPL 2026, a match was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC) on Mangalore in Hyderabad. SRH won the match by 47 runs. After the match, questions have been raised on the captaincy of DC captain Akshar Patel. Former Australian captain Aaron Finch has criticized the captain for not completing the quota of 4 overs by Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel.
It is beyond comprehension to make Nitish Rana bowl 4 overs.
Aaron Finch said in ESPNcricinfo’s Time Out Show, ‘India has two of the best spinners in DC in Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, but neither of them completed their overs, while a part-time off-spinner like Nitish Rana bowled four overs. I don’t understand any meaning of this.

Finch said that both Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav have been part of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup twice. He is the strength of spin bowling of Team India. Despite this, Akshar not bowling to the left-handed batsman and not calling Kuldeep to bowl shows his lack of trust.
The former Australian captain said in the letter that he is not the kind of person whom you know that if he is under pressure, he will bounce a ball up in the slot. He defends himself, changes the angle. Use your range and height to your advantage. So even when you are thinking defensively, attacking against Abhishek Sharma, when he is in that kind of mood, he bowls some good balls and he knows that something good will happen.
He said that I agree that the bowler cannot bowl his 24 balls in the right direction and length, but at least he should take a stand.
Let us tell you that in the SRH-DC match, Akshar Patel did not complete his quota of 4 overs nor did Kuldeep Yadav get the opportunity to complete his quota of 4 overs. Both bowled 2-2 overs. It is believed that Akshar took this decision because left-handed batsman Abhishek Sharma was at the crease. However, getting part-time spinner Nitish Rana to bowl 4 overs was a bad decision. No matter who the batsman is, you have to trust your main bowler. Kuldeep should have got at least 4 overs.
