- Apple will introduce leasing plan to buy expensive iPhone.
- Customers buy or return the device by leasing it with monthly payments.
- Excluding certain products, lease period will vary by product.
Apple Upgrade Plan: Due to its expensive price, iPhone is out of the budget of most people. On top of that, the continuously increasing prices are further increasing the problems of the customers. Now Apple has found a solution to this problem. According to reports, the company is about to launch a new subscription-style leasing program. In this, customers will be able to take iPhone and other Apple products on lease without paying the full price. Once the lease period is over, they will be able to decide whether they want to buy the device or return it to Apple. This program will start from America.
How will Apple Upgrade Plan work?
This new program of Apple will start from July 28 and it will replace the company’s existing iPhone upgrade program and standard financing option. In the new program, customers will not have to pay EMI but it will work like a lease. Customers who buy Apple products under this program will have to pay a fixed amount every month. When the lease is over, they will have the option to keep the device, return it to the company and switch to a new device. If they take a new device on lease, they will have to sign a new contract. Apple has joined hands with a company named Klarna for financing the program. This program will be available at Apple’s retail stores as well as online stores.
Can every Apple device be taken on lease?
Not every Apple product will be included in this program. This means that many iPhones and other products will not be able to be taken on lease. Entry-level products like iPhone 16, entry-level iPad, Apple Watch SE and MacBook Neo will be kept out of this program. The duration of the lease will also vary according to the product. A lease period of 24 months will be available on iPhone and Apple Watch, while an agreement of 36 months will be made for MacBooks and iPads. Unlike the existing iPhone upgrade program, Apple Care is not included in the new leasing service. Customers will have to pay separately for this.
Apple products have become expensive just a few days ago
Apple is launching this plan at a time when the company has made many of its products expensive just a few days ago. Due to shortage of storage and memory chips, the company has increased the prices of MacBooks and iPads by up to Rs 1 lakh. There are also speculations that the iPhone 18 Pro models to be launched in September will also be launched at increased prices.
