‘I used to cry secretly on the road…’, Nawazuddin Siddiqui considered himself ‘wretched’ for 10 years, the actor expressed his pain.

He first got recognition from Salman Khan’s films like ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. He came to Mumbai with only Rs 2500 and worked as a watchman to survive. Success was not so easy for him. He felt miserable for decades.

Actually, Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently spoke to Radio Nasha. During this, he talked about his career, struggle and even films. The actor said that he got recognition and pride from ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. He struggled for a long time to establish himself in the industry.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui further explains about the struggle, ‘When I initially came into the industry, I came with a lot of confidence. I had come believing that I was an actor. Whoever comes from the theater comes only after thinking like this. But after facing the brunt of struggle, even a little self-confidence is lost. Many times we start doubting ourselves that what we learned was wrong and that we are not getting work.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui used to feel miserable for 10 years

Nawazuddin further says, ‘I saw that mental state when I doubted myself. There is a word, Panauti, that the work used to go away as soon as it was received. Many times I felt that I was the unfortunate one. For 10 years I felt like I was wretched. Because as soon as some big work came, it was lost. I used to tell everyone. But when the working days came closer, I was fired from the job and I didn’t even know it.

Not only this, Nawazuddin Siddiqui further says, ‘He used to get so frustrated and upset by all these things that sometimes he felt like crying on the road. Many times he would cry. But he also used to cry secretly so that no one would see him.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui used to survive by eating Parle-G

Recalling his old times, Nawazuddin Siddiqui further says, ‘I used to survive by eating Parle ji biscuits. Even today when I eat Parle ji, I remember Delhi. Parle ji used to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Today, whenever I eat this, I feel as if I have nothing to eat. Its taste absolutely hurts today.

However, if we talk about Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s work front, these days he is in the news for the film ‘I am not an actor’. These days he is busy in its promotion. The film will be released in theaters on May 8. Apart from this, he will also be seen in ‘Tumbbad 2’, which will be released on December 3, 2027.
