For this, mix equal amounts of water and vinegar in a glass and add a few drops of liquid dish soap in it. Cover the glass with plastic wrap and make small holes on top. The smell of vinegar attracts flies, but due to dish soap they are unable to come out.

Sticky traps, light traps available in the market and insecticides used indoors can also help in controlling flies. However, pesticides should always be used as per the instructions and the room should be properly ventilated.

The most effective way to protect against flies is to prevent them from entering and breeding in the house. For this, keep the meshes of windows and doors intact, always keep the dustbin closed with a lid, do not keep wet garbage in the house for a long time and always store food in airtight containers.
