New Delhi. In the 42nd match of IPL 2026, Gujarat Titans defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 4 wickets and registered their 5th win of the season. At the Narendra Modi Stadium, first the Gujarat bowlers wreaked havoc on RCB and then the stormy innings of Jos Buttler and Shubman Gill made the path to victory easy for the team. RCB team was all out for the first time in IPL 2026. Gujarat bowled out Bengaluru for 155 runs in just 19.2 overs. After this, Gujarat achieved the target by scoring 158 runs in just 15.5 overs. This is the 5th victory of Gujarat, due to which the team has strengthened its position at 5th place. At the same time, RCB had to face its third defeat. If RCB had won this match, they would have become number-1 in the points table by defeating Punjab Kings. However, with the defeat, RCB remains at second position.

Gujarat took revenge for the previous defeat
This was the second clash of the season between Gujarat and RCB. In the first match played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, RCB had defeated Gujarat by 5 wickets, which Shubman Gill’s team now took revenge on its home ground.
