The most interesting thing about this launch came to light when Sundar Pichai told on social platform X that the Gemini app for Mac has been developed with the help of the company’s own AI tool Antigravity. This tool can do the work of planning, coding and testing of software through automatic agents.
That means this app has been developed to a large extent by AI. This technology works somewhat like AI coding tools like OpenAI Codex. According to Pichai, this app went from an idea to a ready prototype in just a few days.
How does Gemini app work?
This new app from Google has been designed in such a way that it helps you without interruption in your work. On Mac, users can open Gemini from anywhere by simply pressing the Option + Space shortcut. With this you can immediately ask questions, check data or get help in any task, that too without changing the screen.

One of the most special features of this app is screen sharing. Users can share their active window with Gemini so the AI understands the full context. Suppose you are creating a report or working in a spreadsheet, Gemini can suggest the right information or formula at that very moment. This increases both the speed and accuracy of work.
