After some time, wash with lukewarm water and dry thoroughly with a soft towel. Keep in mind that rubbing with too much pressure can cause scratches on the jewellery.
Baking soda is also a good option
If there is a lot of dirt stuck on the jewellery, then baking soda can also be a good option. For this, prepare a paste by mixing two spoons of baking soda with some lukewarm water. Now with the help of a soft bristle toothbrush, apply this paste on the jewelery and leave it for about 4 to 5 minutes. After this, wash with water and dry with a lint-free cloth. The mild cleaning power of baking soda helps remove grime. However, one should avoid rubbing it too hard.
What to do to bring back the shine of the chain?
If the shine of the gold chain has reduced, then mix two teaspoons of liquid dish soap in two cups of lukewarm water and soak the chain in it for about five minutes. After this, clean it gently with a soft brush and wash and dry it. At the same time, a thick paste of cornflour and vinegar can also be applied on the chain. Washing it after five minutes can help in removing the accumulated dirt.
