New Delhi. The final of the T20 World Cup and the title of world champion at stake. India had set a huge target of 256 runs for New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, but New Zealand batsman Daryl Mitchell was not ready to accept defeat. Something happened in the 11th over of the innings which took the excitement of the match to a different level. Which wrote a new story of the new mood of Indian cricket. Daryl Mitchell hit Arshdeep Singh for two consecutive sixes on the first two balls of the eleventh over. The pressure was on the bowler, but Arshdeep's answer was different. On the fifth ball, Mitchell played a wide yorker back towards the bowler. Arshdeep caught the ball and without blinking he hit it towards the stumps. But the target was missed and the ball hit Mitchell's body directly.
The atmosphere of the field suddenly changed. Daryl Mitchell was furious and scolded Arshdeep Singh. The umpires intervened and gave instructions to Arshdeep. Captain Suryakumar Yadav calmed Mitchell down and after some time, Arshdeep, showing sportsmanship, apologized to Mitchell. However, the crowd present in the stadium at that moment expressed displeasure over this altercation.

Gautam Gambhir said- no friends on the field
After the match, when India ended the World Cup drought, head coach Gautam Gambhir's statement became a topic of discussion. Gambhir made it clear that he has no objection to this behavior of Arshdeep. Gambhir told ANI, 'This is absolutely fine. You are representing your country, it is natural to see aggression there. No bowler likes to hit two sixes and I want to see a similar reaction from my players. Gambhir did not stop here, he further said, even if Arshdeep did not apologize, I had no problem. There are neither friends nor enemies on the field. There is only competition there.
ICC's pride and laughter of victory
