Airport Procedures For Beginners: If you are going to travel by air for the first time, it is natural to have many questions along with excitement in your mind. Many things like when to reach the airport, what documents to carry, how will the check-in be done and how much luggage can be carried, etc. can bother the first time travelers. However, if some important things are taken care of in advance, your first flight experience can be comfortable and stress-free.
First prepare the document
First of all, check your flight ticket and identity card. For domestic travel, carry Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Driving License or any valid photo identity card issued by the government. At the same time, if you are going abroad, you should also have passport and, if necessary, visa with you. The name written on the ticket should exactly match your identity card, because difference in name may cause problems in entering or boarding the airport.
What to prepare for on the day of travel?
Be sure to check the status of your flight before reaching the airport on the day of travel. Sometimes flight timings may change due to weather or other reasons. It is considered better to reach the airport at least two hours before for a domestic flight and three hours before for an international flight. While packing luggage, keep in mind the airline’s baggage rules. You may have to pay extra charges for carrying more luggage than required. Also, avoid keeping items in your bag that are not allowed on the flight. If you have sports equipment, pickles or other food items, then first understand the related rules.
What things should be kept in mind at the airport?
After reaching the airport, first complete the check-in and baggage drop process. If you have done online check-in in advance, you can save a lot of time. After this it will have to go through security check. International travelers also have to complete the immigration process. After completing all the formalities, reach your boarding gate on time.

What to do while boarding a flight?
After boarding the flight, fasten your seat belt and follow all safety instructions of the cabin crew. Do not hesitate to seek help from crew members if needed during the journey. If the journey is long, keep drinking water and eat light food so that the journey remains comfortable. After reaching the destination, collect your luggage from the baggage belt and if the luggage is damaged or missing, immediately lodge a complaint at the airline’s help desk. A little preparation and correct information in your first air journey can make your entire journey easy, safe and memorable.
