Robots are working without human help
Lei Jun has shared a video of about 5 minutes on X. In this, Xiaomi’s robots are completing repetitive tasks on the automotive production line. Without any human help, they are lifting the center console side covers and placing them in the container. While sharing the video, Jun wrote that it is a difficult task for robots to handle large and flexible components in factories reliably for a long time. This uncut video is of Xiaomi’s humanoid robot, in which it is seen continuously sorting the side covers of the center console on the production line. In the video, a robot with wheels can also be seen working. This shows that Xiaomi is testing multiple robotic platforms simultaneously.
One of the toughest challenges for robots in factories is handling large, irregular, flexible parts reliably over long periods.

Xiaomi has been working on robots for a long time
