ChatGPT New Update: OpenAI has introduced a new update for ChatGPT users. The name of this new update is Scheduled Tasks. The purpose of this new feature is to make ChatGPT not just a question-answering tool but a smart assistant that can work on time, send reminders and handle many tasks automatically.
This feature provides the facility to users to schedule different tasks in advance. Through this, ChatGPT will not only wait for your instructions but will itself become active and work when the time comes. This will make it easier for people to automate many of their daily tasks.
What is Scheduled Tasks feature?
According to the information, Scheduled Tasks will be a new section where users will be able to manage all their automated tasks. With its help, ChatGPT can be set to work at a specific time or on the basis of specified conditions.
For example, you can use it to remind you of a meeting, update a daily report, or send a notification when there’s an important update on a topic.
ChatGPT will now give smart reminder
The biggest feature of this feature is that ChatGPT will be able to remind you of important things while working in the background. Users will set the task once and after that the AI will automatically send timely notifications.
Apart from this, frequently repeating prompts can also be automated. That means now the user will not need to write the same prompt every time. ChatGPT will automatically perform that task from time to time.
Users will get three options
Different types of tasks can be set in Scheduled Tasks.
One-Time Task: Tasks that run at a specific time.
Recurring Task: Tasks that repeat daily, weekly, or on a regular schedule.
Monitoring Task: Tasks that monitor a specific topic or information and send alerts only when significant changes occur.
This feature can prove to be very useful for those who depend on regular updates and reminders.
Control center will be available on both web and mobile
For your information, let us tell you that OpenAI is also bringing a separate Scheduled page for this feature which will appear in the main sidebar of ChatGPT. It will be available on both web and mobile app.
This page will act as a control center where users will be able to see all their active automations, their run time and their status in one place. The task can also be edited, stopped or restarted if needed.
