How was the new technology prepared?
Scientists from Australia’s Adelaide University have prepared this new technology inspired by the way bees and ants work together. Actually, scientists have prepared a swarm system of small robots. Let us tell you that this study has been published in Natural Sciences Journal. For your information, let us tell you that the way bees and ants work together to find food on their own without anyone’s help, now these robots will also work in mining.
How was the test successful?
According to media reports, scientists created an environment similar to mining in the lab. After this, three types of strategies were tested on small Zumo 2040 robots. Robots have been designed to perform different tasks on different stages where they have performed brilliantly. In the initial stage, the robots would just collect minerals and return to their place. After this, different robots performed different responsibilities.
One used to search for resources and the other used to deliver them. After this, in the last i.e. third stage, the robots first survey the entire area, remember the location of the resources and then collect the minerals through the easiest routes.
Work together without control center
Let us tell you that the biggest special thing about this system is that the scientists have not provided any control center system in it. This means that every robot will take its own decisions according to its surroundings and will work only in collaboration with other robots. Now if any one or some robots stop working for some reason then it will not make much difference to the other robots and the mining work will continue.
