From there to Pahalgam one has to travel about two and a half to three and a half hours by road. Taxi is most convenient to go from Srinagar Airport to Pahalgam. The fare of a private taxi usually falls between Rs 3000 to Rs 4000, whereas in a sharing vehicle this cost may be slightly less.

This distance is about 4 to 5 kilometers and the route passes through very beautiful forests. As of 2026, the fare for pony ride from Pahalgam to Baisaran is Rs 1320 per person, which may vary according to season and crowd. If you take a guide, it may cost separately.
