Karachi: The Australian cricket team is set to tour Pakistan in late May to play a three-match ODI series in Lahore and Rawalpindi. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sources gave this information on Friday.
This series is part of an agreement between Cricket Australia (CA) and the PCB, under which the Australian T20 team toured Pakistan before the T20 World Cup and played three matches in Lahore.
The tour is being finalized with Cricket Australia, but the matches will likely take place between May 30 and June 5. The source said that the Australian team will leave from Pakistan for Bangladesh, where it has to play an ODI series from June 9.
Pakistan has to tour Bangladesh for a two-Test series between May 8 and 20 after the conclusion of the Pakistan Super League, but their most important series this year is the three Tests in England in August and September, which is part of the ICC World Test Championship.
