According to reports, SpaceX is preparing an AI device, which will be thinner than the iPhone. The company has shown the prototype of this device, which looks like a handset, to its investors.
What information was revealed about SpaceX AI Device?
According to reports, this device, different from traditional phones, will run on a new operating system and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chip will be used in it. There is also talk of integrating xAI’s AI technology in this device. However, as of now this project is in a very early stage and there is no guarantee whether the company will turn it into a real product or not. If this project reaches the product from prototype, then features like encrypted communication, X services and Starlink connectivity can also be found in this device. With the addition of Musk’s name, customers are also expected to get great hardware, great camera, reliable software, good battery life and mature app ecosystem in it.
Information about SpaceX making phones has already been revealed
This is not the first time that information about SpaceX working on a hardware like phone is coming to light. This year, a report claimed that the company would make a Starlink connected phone, which was later denied by Musk. However, Musk himself has also talked about making the phone. Considering the control of Apple and Google on app distribution, he had talked about making a phone. Then Musk had said that if X is removed from the App Store and Play Store then he can make an alternative phone.
OpenAI is also making a phone run by AI agent
Some time ago, information was received that ChatGPT maker OpenAI is working on a new type of phone. Apple’s former design chief Jony Ive is also involved in this project. This unique phone will not require mobile apps and will run on AI agents. These AI agents will work in real-time by understanding the context, user behavior and needs.
