In the video being shared on social media, it is being claimed that Delhi Police is using AI-powered facial recognition technology to identify the protesters. CJP has also shared a video on Twitter saying that Delhi Police has deployed facial recognition vans to live scan the people who are protesting peacefully. It is extracting biometric and personal data on the spot.

Two vans have been parked at the protest site
According to Indian Express, Delhi Police has deployed two monitoring vans near the protest site. In one, live feed is coming from CCTV cameras installed around Jantar Mantar, while in the other one, those videos are analyzed with AI and the faces of the people captured on the camera are being compared with the police database. The officials denied identifying the protesters through this and said that this is being done so that if any face with a criminal record is seen in the crowd, the police can be alerted.
Fear among protesters due to constant monitoring
According to media reports, the continuous monitoring of the police at the protest site has created fear among the people. People who came to participate in the protest say that they are feeling uncomfortable seeing cameras everywhere. Some people have also started covering their faces to avoid being captured on cameras.
