Samsung Humanoid Robots: Now one company after another is taking steps towards making humanoid robots. According to the latest information, apart from phones and AI, Samsung will now also focus on robotics. Samsung has said that to work on robotics, it has created a new division named RX (Robotics eXperience), which will work under the CEO of the company. This division has initially been entrusted with the task of making humanoid robots. Till now the company has not announced any commercial model. Let us tell you that Elon Musk’s company Tesla is also working on Optimus robot. Before Samsung, Xiaomi had also announced to enter this field. This shows that competition in the field of robotics is continuously increasing.
This work has been assigned to the new team
According to Samsung, the new team will develop core technology along with creating a strategy related to robotics for the company. Apart from South Korea, it has also been entrusted with the task of increasing Samsung’s robotics research capabilities in global markets. The company’s Executive Vice President Lee Dongkun has been made the head of the new team. Lee has previously been the head of robotics strategy at Hyundai Motor Group.
Samsung can work on this robot first
Samsung had taken control of Rainbow Robotics some time ago. The company had said that it wants to speed up the work on Rainbow’s advanced robot. Its robot RB-Y1 has two arms, which can work like humans. This robot rotates on wheels. It is believed that Samsung can make its debut by refining this robot. According to reports, initially the company’s focus is on making robots for factories. In future, it can prepare robots for stores and homes also.
Xiaomi is also making humanoid robot
Chinese company Xiaomi is also working on AI-powered humanoid robot. This month, the company’s CEO Lei Jun shared a video, in which a humanoid robot can be seen working on a production line. Due to this, speculations are being made that now the company is taking them out of the lab and preparing them for production. It is noteworthy that Xiaomi has been working on humanoid robots for a long time. In 2022, the company launched a robot named CyberOne, which could recognize humans and do basic interactions, but later it was discontinued as a research product. Since then the company has been focusing on industrial applications.
