But more than this great clash, fast bowler Mukesh Chaudhary has come into discussion. A mountain of sorrows has fallen in the house of this star bowler of Chennai. His mother Devi passed away last Tuesday, 21st April. Despite this, Mukesh came to the field to play in the match against Mumbai Indians after just 2 days.
On April 18, Chennai Super Kings had to face a 10-run defeat at the hands of SRH. After that Mukesh left for his residence Bhilwara (Rajasthan). He along with his elder brother performed the last rites of his mother. After that Mukesh left for Mumbai, where the match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians took place.
It was told that before his death, Mukesh Chaudhary’s mother was admitted to Tata Hospital in Mumbai. Whereas MS Dhoni remained in constant touch with Mukesh during this sad time and he even reached the hospital to know the condition of Mukesh’s mother. Mukesh had earlier played only one match for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2026. He took 2 wickets in that match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Mukesh Chaudhary’s mother was ill for a long time, which became the reason for her death.

Mukesh Chaudhary’s IPL career
Mukesh Chaudhary entered the Indian Premier League as a net bowler for Chennai Super Kings. Taking full advantage of the opportunity to debut in 2022, he performed brilliantly by taking 16 wickets in 13 matches. Was out of the 2023 season and could play only one match in the 2024 season. Even in IPL 2025, he did not get many opportunities. Now Chennai Super Kings have shown confidence in him again. So far he has taken 19 wickets in his 17-match IPL career.
