Praveen Tambe is one of the oldest players to play in IPL. He played his second season for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL 2014. In the league match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Tambe came to bowl the 16th over and performed a feat which is astonishing to think about. Although he took a hat-trick by taking three wickets, which is a very common thing in cricket, but in this he bowled only two legal balls. Let us understand how this happened.
He bowled a googly on the first ball, which Manish Pandey missed and was stumped by Sanju Samson. A wicket came on this ball but due to the ball being wide, Praveen Tambe got the wicket without bowling any legal ball. This ball was also wide. Tambe dismissed Yusuf Pathan on the first legal ball of the over and sent Ryan ten Doeschate to the pavilion on the very next ball. In this way he completed a hat-trick in two legal balls and became only the second player after Isuru Udana to do so.
