20th Anniversary iPhone: The journey of the iPhone, which was first launched in 2007, will complete one year in 2027. Steve Jobs announced the first iPhone in January 2007 and its sales started after its launch in June of the same year. According to this, the 20th anniversary of iPhone will be on June 29, 2027, but now Apple launches iPhone only in September, hence it is believed that iPhone 20 Series will be launched in September, 2027. To make this series memorable, Apple is going to make many major changes in the design of the iPhone. The 2027 model of iPhone will get all-glass design, new display technology and many other upgrades. Some of its features have been leaked in reports. Let’s take a look at them.
Edge-to-edge display- Curved glass design can be given in the iPhone 20 Pro models to be launched in September next year. This will be an all-glass display. That means there will be no cutout for dynamic island or camera on it. The new display panel will be curved at all four corners, which will give a borderless effect. 
Advanced Display- Apple will use Samsung’s new display panel in the upcoming series. These displays are made using color filters on encapsulation. This reduces the thickness of the display stack and allows more light to pass through it. This will improve the brightness. This means that this display will be able to give better brightness even after consuming less power. This panel will be paired with 16nm display driver chips.
Under Display FaceID- It is being told that Apple wants to move Face ID below the panel in this phone. For this, special “spliced micro-transparent glass” windows will be used, which will pass the infrared sensors. Some reports have claimed that this technology can also be used in iPhone 18 Pro models, but the inclusion of this technology in the 2027 models is almost confirmed.
7 inch display size- iPhone 20 Pro Max can be marketed as an iPhone with a 7-inch display. Actually, due to thin bezels and all-screen design, the size of this panel will reach around 7 inches. This will be the first iPhone to come with such a large display.
Custom Apple Image Sensor- Apple wants to make its own stacked image sensor for the upcoming iPhone lineup. It will be used in place of the Sony sensor used in the iPhone camera. The company has prepared its prototype. This sensor uses LOFIC technology, due to which each pixel will be able to store different amounts of light.
Solid-State Haptic Button- In the iPhone models to be launched in 2027, the mechanical side button, volume button, action button and camera control button can be removed and replaced with haptic buttons. Apple has completed tests regarding this. To keep these buttons functioning, an ultra-low energy microprocessor will be used, which will continue to power these buttons even when the battery is dead or the phone is turned off.
Pure Silicon Battery- It is also being speculated that pure silicon battery can be used in the Pro models of iPhone 20 series. After other companies including Samsung, now Apple can also move towards silicon. Silicon batteries can store more energy in less space, so that the phone can be equipped with a higher capacity pack without increasing the size.
Why iPhone 20 series directly after iPhone 18 series?
Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro models will be launched this September and the iPhone 18 model will be launched early next year. After this, in September next year, the company will skip the iPhone 19 series completely and launch the iPhone 20 Pro models directly. Apple similarly skipped the iPhone 9 series before launching the iPhone X in 2017.
