How To Make Crispy Potato Chips At Home: If your children insist on buying chips from the market again and again, then this time surprise them by feeding them crunchy potato chips made at home. By adopting the right method, these chips become so crispy that the same pleasure is available in every bite, but without any preservative. The special thing is that to make these you will need only some common kitchen ingredients.

How to make tasty chips at home?

First of all, wash 2 big potatoes thoroughly. If you wish, remove their peel. Now cut the potatoes into very thin slices with the help of a sharp knife or slicer. The thinner the chips, the more crunchy they will be. Now take cold water in a big bowl and prepare the solution by adding 2 spoons of salt in it. Soak cut potato slices in it for 15 to 20 minutes. By doing this, the excess starch of the potato is removed, due to which the chips become more crispy after frying and also do not turn black quickly.

add spoon white vinegar

After this, boil water in a vessel and add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar in it. Now boil the soaked potato slices lightly for 3 to 4 minutes. Vinegar helps in giving better texture to the chips and their color also remains good during frying. After boiling, take out the slices, spread them on a kitchen towel and let them dry thoroughly. Keep in mind that there should be absolutely no water on the slices.

How to filter?

Now heat oil in a deep pan or kadhai. When the oil is well heated, add potato slices in small quantities. Adding too many slices at once can cause the chips to stick together and not cook properly. Fry the chips on medium flame until their color becomes light golden and the bubbles formed in the oil reduce. After this, take out the chips and keep them on tissue paper, so that the excess oil gets removed. Now sprinkle salt, black pepper, chaat masala, mint powder, peri-peri masala or any seasoning of your choice on the hot chips as per taste and mix gently.

store in an airtight container

If all the chips are not finished in one go, let them cool completely and then store in an airtight container. Chips stored this way remain crunchy for several days. Keep some small things in mind. The thinner the potato slices, the better the chips will be. It is important to dry them thoroughly before frying and always fry on medium flame.
