The batsman fell on the ground and his helmet also came off. In anger, Lewis got up, kicked off his helmet and walked out of the field. Due to a dangerous bouncer from Seals, it was decided to end the match prematurely. One of his balls hit the batsman’s helmet. This match was being played between Leeward Islands and Trinidad and Tobago under the West Indies Championship.
While bowling to Jeremiah Lewis of the Leeward Islands, a ball from Seals suddenly took a sharp bounce and hit the batsman straight on his helmet. The batsman immediately fell on the ground and his helmet also came off. In anger, Lewis kicked and threw his helmet and walked out of the field. At the time of the incident, Leeward Islands’ score was 140/7 and all seven wickets were taken by Seals. Lewis was taken to the hospital to be checked for a head injury (concussion) and is said to be in stable condition.
