Instagram Plus: Social media platform Meta is preparing to make a big change in its famous app Instagram. The company is working on a new premium subscription model Instagram Plus which can make the experience of ordinary users quite different from before. It has come to light that such features are available in this new plan which are not yet available for free users.
In which countries did the test start?
According to media reports, Instagram Plus is currently being tested in some selected countries like Mexico, Japan and Philippines. That is, currently this feature has reached only limited users but in the coming time it can be rolled out in other countries also.
What special things will be available in Instagram Plus?
The most popular feature of this paid service is Anonymous Story View. That means, if you are an Instagram Plus user, you can view someone's story without revealing your identity. Usually, a person posting a story on Instagram can see who has viewed his story, but with this feature your presence will remain hidden.
Apart from this, users will also be able to know how many times their story has been viewed again. Till now this facility is not available to normal users. Additionally, the facility to create multiple different audience lists for the story will also be provided whereas at present only one Close Friends list can be created.
Instagram Plus users will be able to extend the duration of their story beyond 24 hours and once a week they will be able to highlight a story and show it at the forefront, which will increase its visibility.
What other new features will be included?
With this subscription, users will also get the option to send animated reactions like Superlikes. Also, there will be a facility to search in the list of story watchers so that you can easily find a particular person.
Is this like a Verified Plan?
It is important to understand that Instagram Plus is different from Meta's Verified plan. Verified plan is mainly designed for creators and business users in which features like blue tick and security are available. Whereas Instagram Plus has been designed keeping in mind the common users.
How much can the price be?
The company has not yet disclosed its official price, but its price has been kept different in the countries where its testing is going on. According to reports, this subscription can be around Rs 100 to Rs 200 every month. It is not yet clear what its price will be when launched in India.
