Praveen Tambe is the best example of the saying “Age is just a number”. He started playing IPL for Rajasthan Royals in 2013. Then his age was 42 years. In 2014, he took 15 wickets in IPL for Rajasthan Royals. Tambe had received a bid from Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2019 IPL, but BCCI banned him from playing. Tambe played in the T10 league in 2018 and for this reason he was banned from IPL.
Australian star batsman Steve Smith was to captain Rajasthan Royals in 2018.
