Priya Punia made her ODI and T20 debut for India in the year 2019, but her journey has been full of ups and downs. He got only three chances in T20 International, in which his performance was ordinary. He has not played any T20 match for India since 2019. However, she was on the radar of the T20 team till 2024 and also went on the Australia tour with India-A. The surprising thing is that Priya has not yet got a chance to play in the Women's Premier League (WPL). However, she has played 8 matches in the 'Women's T20 Challenge' held before the WPL.

Priya had scored unbeaten 75 runs against South Africa in her very first ODI match and was adjudged 'Player of the Match'. After this, she continued to be a part of the ODI team intermittently.
