Akshat Raghuvanshi, who will be remembered for years for the first ball of his IPL career. Lucknow Super Giants had bought Akshat Raghuvanshi in the mini auction of IPL 2026 by bidding Rs 2.2 crore. 22-year-old Akshat bats in the middle order and can also bowl right-arm off-spin when needed. He made his mark in T20 cricket through Madhya Pradesh T20 League. In the 2025 season, he scored 239 runs in 4 matches at an excellent average of 59.75. He also scored a century and a fifty in the Madhya Pradesh T20 League 2025 season. He has captained the Madhya Pradesh Under-19 team in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy.
‘Jabra’ is a fan of Rohit Sharma
Some time ago, in a media interview, he had told that earlier he was a big fan of Sachin Tendulkar, but later he started liking Rohit Sharma’s game more. Like Rohit Sharma, his jersey number is also 45. He had expressed his desire to play for Mumbai Indians, but last year in the auction he was bought by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 2.2 crore.
Talking about his career, till now he has experience of only 7 T20 matches, in which he has scored 63 runs. In his List-A career of 17 matches, he has 361 runs including three half-centuries. He made his first-class debut only in 2022. So far, he has 481 runs in 17 matches in red ball cricket. While playing for Madhya Pradesh, he has also scored one century and 4 fifties.
