New Delhi. A star has emerged in the sky of Indian cricket who has dazzled even the greats with his brightness. Only 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who comes from Samastipur, Bihar, has created a stir with his batting in IPL 2026, the echo of which is being heard in the entire cricket world. His recent stormy innings played against the champion team like Chennai Super Kings has proved that this boy is the 'superstar' of the future. In the match played on Monday, Vaibhav Suryavanshi celebrated his 15th birthday in a way which the Chennai bowlers will not be able to forget for a long time. Opening for Rajasthan Royals, Vaibhav completed his half-century in just 15 balls. This was his first fifty of this season and the third 50 plus score of his short IPL career.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi, along with experienced opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, destroyed the bowling attack of Chennai. Both of them took the score to 74 runs in the powerplay itself. Vaibhav scored 52 runs in his 17-ball innings by hitting 5 skyscraper sixes and 4 brilliant fours. Thanks to his aggressive batting, Rajasthan achieved the target of 128 runs in just 12.1 overs and registered a one-sided victory by 8 wickets. Revealing his strategy after the match, Vaibhav said, 'Our plan was to decide the match in the powerplay itself because the bowlers had restricted Chennai to a low score. If the opposition bowlers had dominated the powerplay, the match could have changed, so we took the risk and were successful.

Vaibhav gave credit for his success to Rajasthan Royals coach Kumar Sangakkara and support staff. He said that the team management has given him complete freedom to rely on his natural aggressive style. After defeating Chennai, now the next stop of Rajasthan Royals and Vaibhav Suryavanshi is Ahmedabad. Rajasthan Royals team will face Gujarat Titans on Saturday, April 4 at 7:30 pm. The toss in this match will take place at 7:00 pm. The match will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This match is going to be very special for Vaibhav because last year against the same team (Gujarat Titans), he had attracted the attention of the whole world by scoring a century in just 35 balls.
Vaibhav's 'fire test' will be from these bowlers
On the Ahmedabad pitch, Vaibhav will face the world class bowling attack of Gujarat Titans. These three bowlers can become a big wall in the path of this 'young gun'. Playing against leg spinner Rashid Khan is like a dream for any young player. Rashid's sharp googly will test Vaibhav's aggression. Kagiso Rabada, famous for his accurate swing and seam movement, will try to stop Vaibhav in the powerplay.
Rajasthan's balanced attack
Rajasthan team is in excellent form at the moment. In the last match, the lethal bowling of Nandre Berger (2/26), Joffra Archer and Ravindra Jadeja had bowled out Chennai for 127 runs. The balance provided by the pair of Vaibhav and Jaiswal in the team's bowling and batting is an alarm bell for Gujarat Titans.
