When Danny Morrison took a ‘wicked hat-trick’
This is the incident of a memorable test match played between New Zealand and Australia. Kiwi fast bowler Danny Morrison ran with full enthusiasm to bowl with his run-up. Australian veteran wicketkeeper Ian Healy was standing ready at the crease in front. Morrison, who was adept at bowling out swing close to the wicket, as he passed by umpire Merv Kitchen to throw the ball, his hand accidentally hit the umpire’s cap. What happened next forced the players and spectators present on the field to wail. Due to the blow of Morrison’s hand, not only the umpire’s cap flew off, but his wig (fake hair) also fell floating in the air and fell on the ground.
