Virat Kohli’s ‘no thanks’ to Test cricket… Said – selling shoes less is acceptable, but now I will not wear white jersey

New Delhi. When Virat Kohli was asked that he would like to return to the field wearing the white jersey again. On this, Kohli jokingly said that he would like the sales of his newly launched shoes to decrease, but would not return to Test cricket. Kohli, who retired from Test cricket last year, now plays only in one format. He had scored 9,230 runs in his Test career. Interestingly, he has kept the price of his new shoes equal to his test run.

On the sidelines of an event in New Delhi, he was jokingly asked whether he would like to return to Test cricket so that the sales and profits of his red shoes could increase. These shoes are inspired by his contribution and dedication to Test cricket. On this Kohli laughed and said, “I would like to be sold less. I have moved on from this (Test cricket). The people present started laughing at his answer.

During this conversation, Kohli also talked about his ‘never give up’ attitude with which he has always played. While explaining his point, he mentioned as an example his memorable match-winning innings played against Pakistan in Melbourne in the 2022 T20 World Cup. Kohli said, ‘I am like this. I like such situations when people feel that the match is out of hand and then somehow you turn the game back in your favor.

He said, ‘Since a very young age, I have been looking at situations from this perspective. And I never, until the end, believed that we had lost the match or that we could not win. And because of this many magical moments have been seen.

Kohli said, ‘The event that will always be most special for me is the match played against Pakistan in Melbourne. Later I was told that at that time our chances of victory were about three percent. But I never thought of it that way. Even one percent is enough. If there’s a chance, there’s a chance. All is not over until the match is actually lost.

Virat Kohli was known for his aggressive and outspoken attitude in his early days. When he was asked whether 18-year-old Kohli would be surprised to see any special quality of his personality today, he said, ‘Maybe he could never have imagined himself to be so calm. He probably hoped that I would still be the same fierce and enthusiastic person.

He said, ‘But things have progressed very well. I would feel proud to see what we are doing and where we are today. I feel like I can walk into any room with pride. I will have no hesitation about who I am and what I am trying to do. Just believing in my vision and what my heart says and following it with full conviction, these are things I would be proud of. On the field, Kohli has maintained great consistency with the bat and recently played a key role in helping Royal Challengers Bangalore win their second consecutive IPL title.
