After losing the toss and opting to bat, Zimbabwe team scored 125 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. The host team lost the wicket of Brian Bennett (0) on the very first ball. After this, Ben Curran along with Dion Myers scored 19 runs in the team’s account for the second wicket, but Zimbabwe lost its 4 wickets for just 32 runs. From here, Ryan Burl along with Wesley Madhevere (39) added 32 runs for the fifth wicket and took the team to the score of 64, after which Madhevere along with Tadivanashe Marumani added 57 runs in 37 balls for the sixth wicket and somehow took the team beyond the century mark.
