Vaibhav Suryavanshi hits 15 balls fifty: Vaibhav Suryavanshi is in great form at the moment. He made a lot of headlines by scoring his second half century in the fourth match of the current season. Suryavanshi scored a fifty in just 15 balls against RCB. He became the joint third batsman to score the fastest half-century in IPL. The record of fastest half-century in IPL is in the name of Yashasvi Jaiswal who has scored half century in 13 balls while KL Rahul has achieved this feat in 14 balls. The record of scoring half century in 15 balls each has been registered in the name of Vaibhav and Yusuf Pathan.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi registered a big record in his name by scoring a half-century in 15 balls.

New Delhi. Seeing the scene seen on the field at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, it seemed as if a cyclone of runs had arrived. In the match between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore, 15 year old young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi created such havoc with his batting that the big records of IPL collapsed like a house of cards. Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s intentions were clear from the beginning of the match. As soon as the RCB bowlers put the ball in his court, Vaibhav left no stone unturned in taking it across the boundary. In no time he completed his half-century in just 15 balls. He was out after scoring 78 runs on 26 balls. During this period he hit eight fours and seven sixes.

Interestingly, in the same season, Vaibhav had also scored a fifty in just 15 balls against Chennai Super Kings at the same ground in Guwahati. With today’s innings, he proved that he is not a ‘one season wonder’ but a long race horse. Vaibhav scored 18 runs on four balls of Josh Hazlewood which included three consecutive fours and a six.

Explosion of glory in the group of fastest ‘Fifty’ heroes
This explosive innings of Vaibhav has placed him in the league of those great batsmen of India who have the record of scoring the fastest half-century in IPL. The record of the fastest half-century from India is in the name of Yashasvi Jaiswal, who achieved this feat in just 13 balls against Kolkata in 2023. After him comes KL Rahul who scored a fifty in 14 balls. Vaibhav has now equaled Yusuf Pathan’s record of 15 balls and the most important thing is that he has done this feat not once but twice (against CSK and now RCB).

There is a stir in the record club of ‘less than 20 balls’
Completing a half-century within 20 balls in T20 cricket is a dream for any batsman. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has further strengthened his position in this special list with his innings today. Now he has joined those few players in IPL history who have completed half-century in less than 20 balls thrice.

Currently, Nicholas Puran and Abhishek Sharma are at the top in this list with this feat four times each. But Vaibhav has now equaled Jack Fraser-McGurk and Australia’s explosive Travis Head, who also have three ‘sub-20’ ball half-centuries in their names.

Rajasthan Royals’ new ‘superstar’
This innings of Vaibhav Suryavanshi completely destroyed the strategy of RCB. The way he has equaled the records of big names like Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, it is clear that Rajasthan Royals have found a ‘Brahmastra’ which has the power to destroy any bowling attack in a few overs. The spectators present on the field and the fans watching on TV are saying only one thing today – ‘This player is not going to stop.’
