New Delhi: Indian captain Shubman Gill has become the world number-1 batsman in the latest ICC ODI rankings. Shubman Gill got the benefit of scoring 188 runs in the three-match ODI series against England and Daryl Mitchell being injured. This is the third time that 26 year old Shubman has been crowned the number one batsman.

Justin Greaves jumped 21 places
Fast bowler Justin Greaves, who took seven wickets in the first Test match against Pakistan, has jumped 21 places to reach 48th position, while star Jayden Seales, who took five wickets in Pakistan’s second innings, has moved up five positions to 24th position. Mohammad Abbas, who became the third bowler to take five wickets in this Test, has returned to the top 20 for the first time since 2021. With an increase of nine places, he has reached number 17.

Babar Azam reached number 15
