In IPL 2025, Gujarat Titans team had bought Afghanistan all-rounder Karim Janat at the base price of Rs 75 lakh. Karim got a chance to debut for Gujarat against Rajasthan. In that match, 14 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi was standing in front of 26 year old Karim Janat. While bowling against Vaibhav, Karim Janat did not know that his IPL debut would prove to be his last match.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi hit boundaries on every ball in that over against Karim. Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a total of 30 runs in the over, which included 3 sixes and 3 fours. After that beating of Karim, captain Shubman Gill did not bowl to him again. Not only this, Karim remained sitting on the bench for Gujarat throughout the season and later the team released him for IPL 2026.
