If we look at the format wise statistics, the honor of becoming India’s youngest player of the match in T20 International cricket has now gone to Vaibhav Suryavanshi (15 years 121 days). However, the unbroken record of becoming the youngest player of the match for India in Test and ODI formats is still held in the name of Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin won this award against England in Test cricket at the age of 17 years and 112 days and in ODI cricket at the age of 17 years and 225 days. This new record of Vaibhav has set a new world class standard in T20.
In this 3-match T20 International series against Zimbabwe, Vaibhav Suryavanshi was the most successful and highest run-scorer batsman of the entire tournament. He scored a total of 151 runs facing only 77 balls in 3 innings. During this period his batting strike rate of 196.10 was very explosive. Scoring so many runs in so few balls shows that Vaibhav was not only scoring runs but was also completely destroying the opposition bowling attack.
