UPPSC RO ARO Recruitment: There is news of relief for the candidates waiting for the recruitment of Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission can issue the notification of this recruitment soon. The Commission has received details of vacant posts from various departments and now the formalities related to recruitment are in the final stages.
It is believed that after the implementation of the new provisions related to the Chief Minister Fellowship Scheme, the way for issuing advertisements has been cleared. In such a situation, RO and ARO recruitment is considered to be one of the most popular examinations of the state. Lakhs of candidates are waiting for the notification since the result of the last recruitment cycle was declared. In such a situation, everyone’s eyes are fixed on the next announcement of the Commission.
Recruitment will be done on so many posts
The Commission has so far received requisition for a total of 428 vacant posts, out of which the maximum number of vacancies has been sent from Uttar Pradesh Secretariat. 92 posts of Review Officer and 267 posts of Assistant Review Officer are vacant in the Secretariat. In this way, recruitment is proposed for a total of 359 posts. Apart from this, the Revenue Council has also sent the requisition for 69 posts to the Commission. Recruitment advertisement is being prepared on the basis of these reactions. If further vacancies are received from any other department, then the number of posts may increase.
Why was the recruitment notification pending?
RO and ARO recruitment notification was not being released for a long time. The biggest reason for this was the rules related to age relaxation and extra weightage given to researchers under the Chief Minister Fellowship Programme. The Commission was waiting for the implementation of this rule, now the government has implemented the new system. Under this, eligible researchers will get the benefit of age relaxation up to a maximum of 3 years and extra weightage in the main examination as per the prescribed conditions. Based on this rule, recently the advertisement for PCS 2026 recruitment was also issued. In such a situation, the possibility of issuing notification for RO and ARO recruitment has also increased significantly.

When can the notification be issued?
The Commission has not yet announced the date of issuing the notification. However, after receiving the requisition from the departments and implementation of the new rules, it is believed that the notification will be issued soon. The Commission is currently completing the final process related to recruitment. Let us tell you that every year a large number of candidates apply for RO-ARO recruitment. In the recruitment of 2023, applications were invited for 419 posts, but 10,76,004 candidates had filled the form for this. This was the record for the highest number of applications for a single recruitment in the history of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. The final result of this recruitment was declared on 5 April 2026, since then the candidates are waiting for the new vacancy.
