UP TET 2026: UP TET first day exam completed, AI cameras caught 15 ‘Munnabhai’, know what was the attendance?

For lakhs of candidates who want to become teachers in Uttar Pradesh, the examination of both the shifts of the first day of Teacher Eligibility Test i.e. UP TET (UP TET 2026) being conducted by Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission was conducted very peacefully. Very strict security arrangements were seen in this exam on the first day. The result of modern technology and strictness was that 15 fake candidates who had come to take the exam in the name of others from different districts of the state were caught red handed. This information was given by Dr. Prashant Kumar, Chairman of UP Education Service Selection Commission.

‘Munnabhai’ could not escape the keen eye of AI cameras

This time, high-tech technology was used to prevent cheating in the examination, due to which the cheating mafia and fake candidates had no control. On the first day of the examination, the Commission showed promptness and arrested a total of 15 fake candidates. These people were sitting and taking the examination in place of the real candidates.

  • First shift: In the first morning shift, seven fake candidates were caught with the help of elaborate security arrangements and AI cameras.
  • Second Shift: In the second shift, the Commission took strict action and caught eight more fraudsters.

The Commission took strict action against all these 15 fake candidates who were caught. All of them were handed over to the local police along with documentary evidence. The police is now registering an FIR against all of them and trying to find out who all are involved in this racket.

84.76% candidates took the exam

According to the information received from the Commission, there was huge enthusiasm among the candidates regarding this examination. The attendance percentage of the students who appeared for the examination including both the shifts on the first day was excellent.

  • Total Registered Candidates: A total of 8,07,636 candidates had registered for both the shifts.
  • Total Appeared Candidates: Of these, 6,84,614 i.e. 84.76 percent candidates reached the examination centers and participated in the examination.
  • Presence of women: The total attendance percentage of female candidates was 84.69%.
  • Appearance of men: The attendance graph of male candidates was recorded at 84.86%.

955 examination centers were set up in 60 districts.

This examination is being conducted in 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh, where a total of 955 examination centers have been created. The Commission said that this examination of UP TET 2026 has started from July 2, which will continue till July 4.

Live monitoring done from AI integrated control room

This time there was no laxity at any level in the examination. A state-of-the-art AI integrated command and control room was created at the commission’s headquarters. Through this control room, all 955 examination centers of the state were being directly monitored. During the examination, the Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Prashant Kumar himself, all the members of the Commission, Secretary, Controller of Examinations and Deputy Secretary were present in the control room.
