UGC-NET Paper Leak: After NEET, UGC NET also leaked! Claim- Paper sold for Rs 2.5 lakh, 90 questions same to same

UGC-NET Paper Leak: The National Testing Agency, one of the largest testing agencies in the country, has once again come under controversy. The NEET UG paper leak controversy had not yet subsided but now serious allegations have started being made regarding the UGC NET exam as well. It is being claimed that before the UGC NET Sociology exam held on June 30, 2026, a PDF of about 100 pages had gone viral on social media, in which about 90 questions were found to be similar to the original paper. After this revelation, there is anger among the candidates and questions have once again been raised on the functioning of NTA.

Questions raised on 100 page PDF

Candidates say that before the examination, a PDF of 100 pages was being shared on social media. It was claimed that these were not ordinary notes but a document related to the preparation of question paper. After the examination, students alleged that about 90 questions and their options given in this PDF largely match the questions asked in the examination. It is being told that the metadata of the PDF was of the morning when the exam was given, while the exam was conducted in the afternoon. Due to this, students have expressed fear of paper leak.

Claim of selling paper for Rs 2.25 lakh

This controversy further escalated when allegations were made that this alleged question paper was being sold for around Rs 2.25 lakh in states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan. Some student organizations and social media posts claimed that this network had also claimed to provide papers for upcoming exams like CSIR-NET, HTET and ADA.

Rahul Gandhi raised questions on government and NTA

Amidst the questions being raised regarding these question papers, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has also targeted the Central Government and NTA regarding the entire matter. He said that it is a very serious matter that the documents related to preparing the question paper in advance are revealed. He claims that many questions in the viral PDF match the real Sociology paper. Rahul Gandhi also alleged that the alleged question paper was being sold for lakhs of rupees in many states. He said that despite continuous examination related controversies, students are not getting accountability and justice. Apart from this, Rahul Gandhi said that despite repeated irregularities, the government is turning a blind eye because the hard work of the students does not matter to them. According to some reports, the Education Ministry has taken these allegations seriously and has asked NTA to investigate the entire matter and find out the facts.
