DU UG Admission 2026: Today, July 27, is a very important day for the students who have got seats in the second round of Common Seat Allocation System 2026 (CSAS) under the process of UG admission in Delhi University. According to the revised schedule released by the University, the candidates who were allotted seats in Round-2 can accept their seats till 11:59 pm today. The allotment of candidates who do not accept the seat within the stipulated time may be cancelled.
Releasing the revised schedule on July 26, the university had extended the last date for accepting seats till July 27. This decision has been taken keeping in mind those students who due to some reason were facing difficulty in completing the process on time.
The process will have to be completed by logging in to the CSAS portal.
Candidates who get seats in Round-2 will have to login to the official CSAS portal of Delhi University with the help of their application number and password. After this they have to accept the allotted college and course. After accepting the seat, the concerned college will verify the documents online. The university has clarified that mere allotment of seats is not enough. It is also necessary for the candidates to accept the seat within the stipulated time and complete all further formalities.
Opportunity for document verification till 28th July
According to the changed schedule, the concerned colleges will do the online verification of the documents and approval of the applications of the students by 11:59 pm on July 28. After this, students whose application will be approved will have to deposit the online admission fee by 11:59 pm on 29th July. The admission process will be considered complete only after the fees are deposited. Meanwhile, the university also informed that the academic session 2026-27 will start from July 28.

What will happen if you do not accept the seat on time?
According to the rules of Delhi University, if a student has been allotted a seat in the second round and he does not accept it within the stipulated time, then his allotment can be cancelled. In such a situation, the student may be out of the further admission process, hence the candidates are constantly being advised to accept their seat as soon as possible without waiting for the last moment.
Thousands of students got benefit in the second round
According to the university, 24,814 students have been allotted seats for the first time in the second round of CSAS UG 2026. Whereas 30,682 candidates have got seats in better colleges or courses of their choice through upgrade. In the first round, the admission process was completed for 63,756 seats, out of which 15,265 students had frozen their seats, while 48,153 candidates had chosen the upgrade option.
