This is not IPL… Vaibhav Suryavanshi showed his worth to those who said, he broke the pride of Sri Lanka by scoring 94 runs in 29 balls.

New Delhi. When a young player responds with his art on the cricket field, its echo is heard far and wide. Something similar happened on the ground of Dambulla, where India’s 15-year-old young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi made the final of the tri-series against Sri Lanka A not just a match but a stage for his ‘trial and revenge’. The taunts of the Sri Lankan players which hurt Vaibhav’s self-esteem, he responded by wreaking such havoc with the bat that the opposing team was forced to see stars during the day.

The controversy begins with the match that took place just before the final. Vaibhav’s bat was silent in the first two matches of the tri-series and he could score only 35 runs. The last match between India-A and Sri Lanka-A reached a very exciting turn and the result came out of Super Over. After this comment, there was a heated argument and fight between the two teams on the field. Although the fellow players intervened and calmed down the matter, those bitter words of the Sri Lankans had pierced Vaibhav’s chest. When both the teams came face to face again in the final, the players of Sri Lanka A had probably forgotten which gunpowder they had sparked. Vaibhav Suryavanshi started taking the Sri Lankan bowlers on remand from the very first ball. His first target was fast bowler Mohammad Shiraz, who had dismissed Vaibhav in the first match of the series. Vaibhav selectively targeted Shiraz and scored 34 runs on just 8 balls. The situation was such that the Sri Lankan captain got upset and had to remove Shiraz from the bowling attack. Vaibhav was in such a furious form that he completed his half-century (50) in just 11 balls. This became a new world record for the fastest half-century in the history of List-A cricket. Vaibhav destroyed the sledging and arrogance of the opposing team in just 11 balls.

Even after making the world record of half-century, Vaibhav’s anger did not subside. He wanted to remind every bowler of Sri Lanka what pressure matches are at international level.
