What did Kasi Vishwanathan say on Hardik Pandya joining CSK?
Kasi Vishwanathan has termed these news as premature. Apart from this, he made it clear that there has been no official talk within the franchise regarding Hardik’s trade yet. Speaking to RevSports, Kasi Vishwanathan said, “There has been no discussion on Hardik’s trade yet. It is possible to talk about it only after the end of MLC 2026.”
These days Major League Cricket is being played in America, in which Chennai franchise Texas Super Kings is playing. So the management people are busy there at present. The tournament will end on July 18, only after which talks are expected to take place regarding Hardik’s trade.
Mumbai’s poor performance after Hardik’s return
In 2024, Hardik joined Mumbai Indians through trade. This was the second time that the Indian all-rounder came to MI. He started IPL with Mumbai in 2015. He remained with the franchise till 2021. Joined Gujarat Titans in 2022 and played there as captain till 2023.
After this he came to Mumbai as captain. Hardik replaced MI captain Rohit Sharma, who had won 5 trophies. Under Hardik’s captaincy, Mumbai qualified for the playoffs only 1 season. In the remaining 2 seasons, Mumbai was eliminated from the playoffs.
