New Delhi. India’s ODI captain Shubman Gill has come very close to becoming number 1 in the ICC ODI batsman rankings in 50 over cricket. Gill’s ranking has strengthened further after playing another brilliant innings in the first ODI against England. Currently, he is in second place in the 50 over format and has scored 50+ scores three times, including one century, in his last three innings.

Apart from Gill, Axar Patel has also performed brilliantly and made it to the top-10 of the ODI all-rounders rankings. The impact of his all-round game in the Birmingham ODI was clearly visible on the ranking.

Gill gave a tough competition to Darrell Mitchell

In ODI cricket, Darrell Mitchell of New Zealand is currently at number 1 with 814 rating points. Gill is just 12 points behind him and can soon regain the top position. Gill has scored 453 runs in 6 ODI innings so far in 2026, in which his average is 113.25. He scored an unbeaten 80 runs in the first ODI against England, however due to cramps he had to retire hurt. So far this year he has scored 4 half-centuries and 1 century. His career statistics are also very impressive. With 3271 runs in 65 matches and an average of 60.57, Gill has become one of India’s most reliable ODI batsmen in recent years. Big leap from Akshar Patel’s all-round performance

In the ranking of all-rounders, Akshar Patel has entered the top-10 by moving from 11th to 9th position. Rashid Khan tops the ranking of bowlers

Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan remains at the first position in the ranking of ODI bowlers. Kuldeep Yadav is the only bowler from India in the top-10, who has now reached 8th position. At the same time, Bumrah remains at 24th position after his return in Birmingham ODI.
