Manish Bansal was born in Sangrur, Punjab. Grew up in a normal family, Manish’s father worked in a bank and mother is a housewife. Since childhood, education was given great importance in his house, which strengthened his thinking and goals.

Manish Bansal was sharp in studies from the beginning. He consistently scored good marks during his school days. His focus was clear to do something big. This was the reason why he always gave priority to his studies and performed better in every class.

Journey to IIT Delhi
On the basis of his hard work, Manish Bansal got admission in Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, one of the most prestigious institutes of the country. From here he completed his Masters in Electrical Engineering. The IIT environment and studies made his way of thinking even stronger.
Dream and hard work to become an IAS
After completing his studies from IIT, Manish Bansal started preparing for civil services. It is not easy to pass a difficult exam like UPSC, but he did not give up. With continuous hard work, discipline and the right strategy, he fulfilled his dream by becoming an IAS in 2014.

Manish Bansal’s family also continued to support him. His father-in-law Gyanesh Kumar is the Chief Election Commissioner of the country, while his wife is also an IAS officer. This family environment inspires them to do better.

After becoming IAS, Manish Bansal performed many important responsibilities. While working in different districts, he made his mark as a hardworking and honest officer. His way of working creates a positive image among the people. Recently, Manish has been appointed as the new District Magistrate of Agra. This appointment is part of a major administrative reshuffle of the Uttar Pradesh government, in which many IAS officers were transferred. Before this, he had worked on the post of DM in Saharanpur and is now assuming the new responsibility in Agra. His appointment is being considered an important step on the basis of his experience and working style so far, which is expected to give further momentum to the administration and development work of the district.
