Now mobile number can be updated in a jiffy from Android and iPhone while sitting at home.
How to update mobile number?
First of all, install the Aadhaar app in your phone. If Aadhaar app is installed then update its latest version. After this, open the app and tap on the mobile number update option. Here the new number will be verified through OTP. After this there will be face authentication, in which the app will scan your face. After face verification, a fee of Rs 75 will have to be paid for demographic update. After payment, your updated number will be saved in the database.
Aadhaar app can come pre-installed in all new phones
Just a few days ago, news came that the government wants to preload the Aadhaar app in all new phones. The government wants that users should not have to download this app separately. Companies like Apple, Google and Samsung are opposing this proposal of the government.
