The cricket world has received bad news due to road and air accidents. From Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds to former South African captain Hansie Cronje lost their lives in the accident. The most heartbreaking news was about English cricketer Ben Holyoak. When he died in the accident, he was only 24 years old.

Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds tragically passed away on 14 May 2022 at the age of 46 in a road accident near Townsville, Queensland. His car slipped from the road and overturned. Symonds was alone in the car at the time of the accident. Paramedics arrived at the scene and tried to save him, but he was declared dead at the scene.

Afghanistan cricketer Najeeb Tarakai passed away tragically on 6 October 2020 after suffering a serious head injury in a road accident. He was hit by a vehicle while crossing the road in Jalalabad. He was immediately taken to a hospital in Nangarhar, where he underwent surgery while in coma but the doctors could not save his life.

England cricketer Ben Holyoake tragically died on 23 March 2002 in Perth, Australia, when his Porsche 924 car crashed into a wall at the Mill Point Road exit of the Kwinana Freeway. He was returning home from a family function when the accident happened. His age at that time was only 24 years and 132 days.

West Indies cricketer Runako Shakur Morton tragically died in a road accident in Trinidad and Tobago on 4 March 2012. His car lost control near Chaguanas on the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway and crashed into a utility pole.

South African umpire and former cricketer Rudy Koertzen tragically passed away in a road accident near Riversdale, Western Cape on 9 August 2022. He was returning from a golf weekend in Cape Town when the accident happened. He was 73 years old at that time and three other people also died in this accident.

Former South African captain Hansie Cronje died in a plane crash on 1 June 2002. When the Hawkers Siddeley HS 748 turboprop aircraft he was traveling in crashed into Craddock Peak in the Outeniqua Mountains. The pilot’s visibility had ended, due to which this accident occurred.

Bangladesh cricketer Manjurul Islam died tragically in a road accident on 16 March 2007 in Dumuria Upazila, Khulna. At that time Bangladesh cricket team was participating in the 2007 Cricket World Cup in the Caribbean. The accident happened when his motorcycle collided with a microbus.
