In the 25th match of the season played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Shubman Gill led his team to victory by playing a captaincy inning of 86 runs. His innings overshadowed Cameron Green’s 79 runs. Batting first, with the help of Green, KKR scored 180 runs. Gujarat chased the target by scoring 181 runs in 19.4 overs. This is Gujarat’s third win in the season, while KKR’s account is still not open. This is his sixth defeat in 6 matches.

Gill played an important role in winning this match by playing captaincy innings. While chasing the target, opening the match with Sai Sudarshan, Gill made a brilliant partnership of 57 runs for the first wicket.
