Shivam Dube in ODI Team: Shivam Dube played his last match in ODI format against Sri Lanka in August 2024. Now after almost two years, he has become a part of Team India’s ODI setup. He has been included in the team for the upcoming three ODI matches against England in place of injured Nitish Reddy. This all-rounder, who made his ODI debut in 2019, has played only four matches in the 50 over format so far.

New Delhi. Before the three-match ODI series against England starting from July 14, seam-bowling all-rounder Shivam Dubey has been included in the Indian team in place of injured Nitish Kumar Reddy. Dubey is part of the Indian team for the ongoing five-match T20 series in England. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Devjit Saikia said on Monday that Dubey will stay back for the ODI series as well, as Reddy is still recovering from a quadriceps injury. Due to Reddy’s rehabilitation, he had already been ruled out of the T20 series against Ireland and England and the upcoming three-match series against Zimbabwe.
Nitish was injured against Afghanistan
Devjit Saikia said, “The selection committee has selected Shivam Dubey in place of Nitish Kumar Reddy in the Indian team for the ODI series against England.” Nitish Reddy suffered the injury during the third ODI against Afghanistan in Chennai, and the timeline for his return to competitive cricket has not been decided yet.
Dubey returns to ODI after two years
Dubey, who made his ODI debut in the year 2019, has played a total of 4 matches in this format so far, in which he scored 43 runs. Apart from this, he has also taken 1 wicket. At the same time, in 68 T20 matches, apart from scoring 1,083 runs with 6 half-centuries, he has taken 34 wickets in his name. Dubey’s last ODI match was against Sri Lanka in August 2024. The first match of the ODI series between India and England will be played in Birmingham on 14th July, after which the next match will be held in Cardiff on 16th July. The final match of the series is to be played in London on 19th July.
