There is relief news for the youth preparing for government jobs in Rajasthan. Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has given lakhs of candidates who have applied for various important recruitment examinations the opportunity to make corrections in their online application forms and withdraw their applications if ineligible.
Often, candidates make some mistakes while filling the online form, due to which they have to face a lot of problems at the time of being deprived of the examination or document verification. Keeping this in mind, the Commission has opened a special correction window from 18 July 2026 to 24 July 2026.
For which examinations are exemptions given?
This special correction window has been opened mainly for three major recruitment examinations.
- Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO – Preliminary) Exam-2026
- Inspector Factory and Boilers Exam-2025
- Inspector Factory (Chemical) Exam-2025
According to the information received from the Commission, the Assistant Prosecution Officer (Preliminary) examination is to be held on 2 September 2026. Whereas, the examination for recruitment to the posts of Inspector Factory and Boilers and Inspector Factory (Chemical) will be held on 19 September 2026. In such a situation, this initiative can prove to be very beneficial for the candidates.
Complete procedure and rules for amendment in application
The Commission has clarified that candidates will not be able to change all the details in their application form. No changes can be made in the details given at the time of one-time registration like candidate’s name, father’s name, passport size photo, date of birth and gender. Apart from these, candidates can make necessary corrections in all their other information.
For this, candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 500, which can be deposited at any nearest e-Mitra kiosk or through online banking. To make the process completely transparent and easy, candidates will have to login through their SSO ID. After this, you will have to go to the recruitment portal and select the edit option for the concerned examination. The Commission has clearly said that offline applications or amendments will not be accepted under any condition.
Strict legal action if application is not withdrawn
Apart from correction, RPSC has also taken very strict steps this time. This step is regarding those candidates who fill the form fraudulently without eligibility. The Commission has given such ineligible candidates a chance to withdraw their applications between 18 and 24 July 2026. If any such candidate does not withdraw his application, then punitive legal action will be taken against him under Section 217 of the Indian Judicial Code. Apart from this, such fake candidates can also be banned for one year from all the upcoming recruitment examinations of RPSC.
OTR of those absent will be blocked
The Commission is not only taking strict action against ineligible candidates, but is also preparing to tighten the noose on those candidates who fill the form but do not go for the examination. The Commission believes that a lot of administrative resources and government money is spent in conducting the examination. In such a situation, the candidates who do not want to appear in the examination should withdraw their applications within the stipulated period. Strict action will be taken against those candidates who do not do so and remain absent without any reason. One time registration facility of such non-serious candidates can be blocked forever.
